Building strong partnerships between employers and education providers is essential for a strategic approach to workforce needs. It’s important to consider if practice educators are:

  • well-supported, fairly paid, and helped with workload management
  • aligned with your organisation’s values and Social Work England’s (SWE) criteria
  • supported by strategic efforts to improve access to good practice placements
  • supported by strong relationships with university partners
  • celebrated for their achievements of those advancing through apprenticeships and other programs
  • given opportunities for career progression within the social care workforce
