Section 1 of 2
Introduction module: The four capabilities (4C) leadership framework

Maintaining curiosity

Maintaining curiosity is at the heart of effective social work leadership. With families, staff, and stakeholders, often just a fraction of the broader picture is visible. This makes it essential to look deeper by asking questions that uncover a full context of each situation.

The 4C leadership capability framework supports this approach, guiding us toward well-informed, values-driven decisions that resonate with the realities our colleagues, children, and families face.

A reminder of the capability that you are working towards:

Stay curious about understanding yourself, others, and your work environment. This helps you stay true to your values, build strong relationships, and stand up for the best interests of children and families.
